EPL Predictions Week 13

Arsenal (home vs. Liverpool)
Starting XI: (4-4-2) Lehmann - Clichy, Toure, Eboue, Gallas - Hleb, Gilberto Silva, Fabregas, Van Persie - Adebayor, Henry

Subs: Almunia, Flamini, Song, Djourou, Senderos, Hoyte, Aliadiere, Walcott.
Injured: Lauren, Diaby, Baptista, Ljungberg, Rosicky.

Suspended: None

Team News: Rosicky has picked a hamstring injury so Van Persie could be deployed as a left-winger. With Sissoko injured for Liverpool Fabregas could get some space to create some magic in midfield.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aston Villa (away vs. Everton)
Starting XI: (4-4-2) Sorensen – Bouma, Mellberg, Cahill, Ridgewell, - S. Davis, McCann, Petrov, Agbonlahor - Sutton, Angel.
Subs:
Taylor, Gardner, Djemba-Djemba, Berger, Whittingham, Samuel, Agathe, Baros.
Injured: Delaney, Moore, Hughes, Barry, Laursen.
Suspended: None

Team News: Villa have injury problems at the back with Hughes, Barry and Laursen all unavailable through injury. Barry recovered from a back problem but O’Neill thinks that he is still too sore to play. This means that Cahill should get his first start of the season alongside Ridgewell with Mellberg moving to the right-back position although, Agathe is in contention for a start. Sutton alongside Angel in attack.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blackburn (home vs. Man Utd)
Starting XI: (4-4-2) Friedel - Neill, T, Khizanishvili, Ooijer, Emerton – Tugay, Bentley, Mokoena, Gamst Pedersen - Nonda, McCarthy.
Subs: Brown, Henchoz, Todd, Gray, Douglas, McEveley, Matteo, Gallagher, Peter, Jeffers.
Injured: Enckelman, Nelsen,
Reid, Roberts, Savage.
Suspended: None

Team News: Savage is missing for
Blackburn through injury so Mokoena will continue in midfield. Savage was sorely missed when suspended and his absence will certainly help Man United at Ewood Park. Emerton could return to the starting XI after recovering from injury with Gray returning to the bench.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bolton (away vs. Sheffield United)
Starting XI: (4-3-3) Jaaskelainen - Hunt, Ben Haim, Meite, Abdoulaye Faye – Campo, Nolan, Speed - Davies, Diouf, Anelka
Subs: Walker, Tal, Fojut, Q. Fortune, Pedersen, Sissons, Smith, Wolfe, Vaz Te, Stelios.
Injured: Gardner, O'Brien.
Suspended: None.

Team News: Bolton have a near full-strength squad to choose from this weekend with the only exception being the Nolan who’s old lady is expecting to drop one out at any moment – so be wary of Nolan this. Stelios could come into replace him if absent. We have seen over the past few weeks that Bolton look shaky without their captain but Sheffield won’t give Big Sam nightmares. With Sheffield having KEY injuries to Tonge and Armstrong I am expecting a comfortable Bolton victory, regardless of their past two results.
------------------------------------------------------
Charlton (away vs. Wigan)
Starting XI: (4-5-1) Carson - Young, Diawara, El Karkouri, Hreidarsson - A Faye, Holland, A. Reid, Thomas, Ambrose - D. Bent
Subs:
Myhre, Sam, Ashton, M Bent, Pouso, Hughes, Rommedahl, Fortune, Kishishev, Hasselbaink, Gibbs, Walker, Sorondo, D. Traore.
Injured: Lisbie

Suspended: None

Team News: Charlton are a changed team over the past three games and are, for me, progressing along well – even if still at the foot of the table. Dowie seems to have found a formation that stops them leaking goals and with the return of Diawara and Reid some fluidity and bite. Bent is always a goal threat and
Wigan manager Paul Jewell marked him out as his team’s biggest worry. Rommehdahl is rated as 50/50 and is unlikely to appear.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chelsea (home vs. Watford)
Starting XI: (4-1-3-2) Cudicini - Geremi, Carvalho, Terry, A. Cole – Essien – Lampard, Robben, Ballack - Shevchenko, Drogba. Edit Cudicini in for Hilario (10:30am)
Subs: Hilario, Diarra, Bridge, Ferreira, Makelele, Mancienne, Boulahrouz, Mikel, Wright-Phillips, Kalou, J. Cole
Injured: Cech

Suspended: None

Team News: Time to toss a coin. Did Cudicini start in midweek because Hilario was being rested or was it to prepare him for this home game? Well, let’s weigh it up. To date Hilario has done nothing wrong in between the Chelsea sticks and as we know if Mourinho is happy with a players performance to quote a large breasted warbling country singer he, “stands by his man”. So the gamble is yours. The rest of the team should remain unchanged although, I have given preference to Geremi at right-back after his impressive Carling Cup exploits and the fact that Mourinho is seething at Boulahrouz and Ferreira at the moment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everton (home vs.Aston Villa)
Starting XI: (4-5-1) Howard – Stubbs Lescott, Yobo, P. Neville - Davies, Carsley, Arteta, Osman, Cahill - Johnson.
Subs: Turner, Anichebe, Weir,
Vaughan, Beattie, Valente, Vidarsson, Hughes.
Injured: Pistone, Naysmith, Hibbert, van der Meyde, Wright, Boyle.

Suspended: McFadden (1 0f 2)

Team News: The Everton team have got over their illnesses of the past few weeks and will give Aston Villa a hard battle. This one is too close to call.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fulham (away vs. Portsmouth)
Starting XI: (4-5-1) Niemi - Queudrue, Knight, Pearce, Rosenior – Bocanegra, C. Jensen, Volz , Radzinski, Boa Morte - McBride
Subs: Crossley, N. Jensen, Zakuani, Timlin, Runstrom, John, Milsom, Routledge, Helguson, Christanval, Pembridge, Diop.
Injured: Bullard, Elliott, Elrich, M. Brown.
Suspended: None

Team News: Fulham manager Chris Coleman has reverted to his tried and trusted 4-5-1 recently with some great results coming from it. Coleman is in love with Radzinski i feel. It is embarrassing, every week Coleman orally bigs up his Canadian winger... Diop is back and could figure ahead of Bocanegra but Coleman has expressed his disastisfaction with the big Senegalese, especially about his international duty, so could leave him on the bench. Brown is injured.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Liverpool (away vs. Arsenal)
Starting XI: (4-4-2) Reina - Finnan, Hyypia, Carragher, Riise - Gerrard, Alonso, Zenden, Pennant – Kuyt, Crouch
Subs: Dudek, Warnock, Agger, Garcia, Aurelio, Paletta, Fowler, Gonzalez, Bellamy
Injured: Kewell, Sissoko
Suspended: None

Team News: Who will fill the boots of Sissoko? That is the question on everyone's lips. For me Alonso and Gerrard will share the duties - Alonso hardly gets out of his own half anyway, I guess doesn't matter if you can score from his range... Zenden has shown that he has been prefered on the right in recent games but Gonzalez is certainly in with a shout.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Man City (home vs. Newcastle)
Starting XI: (4-4-2) Weaver - Richards, Dunne, Distin, Thatcher - Sinclair, Reyna, Barton, Vassell - Corradi, Samaras
Subs: Hart, Ireland, Trabelsi, Jordan, Onuoha, Beasley, Mills, Johnson, Dickov.
Injured: Isaksson, Sun Jihai, Dabo, Miller.
Suspended: None
Team News:
City have an England player once more, it's official! Pearce my week an easy one by saying that any of the four strikers could play. He hinted that Vassell's pace mark him out as a winger against Newcastle, with Corradi's height and strength edging it over Dickov's evil face.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Man Utd (away vs. Blackburn)
Starting XI: (4-4-2) Van der Sar - R. Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, G. Neville - Giggs, Carrick, Ronaldo, Scholes - Saha, Rooney.
Subs: Kuszczak, W. Brown, Silvestre, Heinze, Richardson, Fletcher Smith, O’Shea.
Injured: Park, Solskjaer.
Suspended: None
